About Don Thompson

Don Thompson is a retired Chicago lawyer. He has represented mostly businesses and estates and had been practicing since 1966, although he is only 33. He has been a law teacher as well as a practitioner and has practiced in a wide variety of areas in his career, including criminal and personal injury work which is unusual for someone in the business and estates areas. He has done trial work as well as non-trial work in all these areas.

He is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School and is a failed, but nevertheless sanctimonious, Presbyterian. It is rumored that that Church tried to excommunicate him until it found out that it had rejected such procedures when it rejected the Roman Catholic Church. Having lacked the imagination to go elsewhere, he has been a resident of Chicago all his life, which in practical significance amounts to excommunication.
