The Dead One Smiles by Don thompson

What the Critics Would Have Said

Thirty pages to describe the décor? Thirty pages to describe the mood of the protagonist? One hundred pages to set the scene? None of this is present in this so-called book. All the author does is throw clues at you and wrap it up. This isn't even a short story. We are not even told the color of the villain's divan. Feta Wandella, The Pan Global Gazette.

This book is interesting, provocative, humorous and a great mystery. It can be finished and I am sure most of those who have read it have done so. Accordingly, by definition, it is not literature. Ignore it. It is beneath you. Petulanta Highbrow, The Propriety Journal.

The author expects us to read through this book. Indeed! Believe me, the only way to get through it is to slither. Trash! Ronald Hump, The Flinton, New Jersey Times.

It is a sad day in America when the principal of free speech allows publication of degenerate slime such as this. You must read it and see for yourself. You too will be outraged! Vega, The Culture Journal.

If you are going to read this book do so in a psychiatric ward because that is where you will end up. Ahwanda Bilberry, Thegaseousblog.crum.

Sherlock Holmes could not have solved the mystery set forth in this book. However, Goofy could. That tells you everything you need to know about it. Crusader Rabbit, The Old Folks' Times.
